Fit Trip Kuching 2023

In the heart of Borneo lies Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak, Malaysia’s largest state known for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant landscapes. Kelab Bolasepak Seri Rejang (KBSR), a group of amateur football enthusiasts embarked on a journey from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kuching for a unique blend of sport and exploration. Their mission: a friendly football match, and beyond that, a chance to immerse themselves in the diverse cultural tapestry of Sarawak. 
 
In these 3 days 2 nights experience, KBSR held their friendly match against Pusak SC, a local football team competing in local league. The match was held at the area of Stadium Negeri, and despite first time meeting, both teams showed great sportsmanship till the end. 
 
Other highlights for the trip were the opportunity to delve into Kuching’s cultural offerings. 
Among the stops are Kuching Waterfront, Sarawak Cultural Village, the new state of the art Borneo Cultural Museum and other shopping areas. During the night, a small BBQ session was held at the homestay to celebrate the trip. 
 
As the team bid farewell to Kuching, they reflected on their memorable journey—a blend of sportsmanship, cultural exploration, and warm hospitality. Beyond the football match, the trip allowed them to forge new friendships, gain cultural insights, and create lasting memories of their time in Sarawak.
